WELS 2009 Annual Report now available

Limited copies of WELS 2009 Annual Report are being mailed this week to congregations and donors. This year's report features a new brochure format, which allows for more photos that display WELS' ministry at work.

Road to Emmaus available for Easter outreach

In response to requests from congregations and through a gift from a generous WELS donor, the synod's Road to Emmaus video is being made available at discount in bulk quantities for Easter outreach efforts.

The professionally produced 30-minute DVD released last year depicts the story of two disciples as they are joined by Jesus on their way to Emmaus shortly after his death and resurrection.

Road to Emmaus, a new DVD that portrays the discussion that Jesus could have had with the two disciples after his resurrection, debuted at the 2009 synod convention.

"It was outstanding," says Rev. Ed Schuppe, a pastor delegate. "It will have many uses for congregations throughout our synod, especially in the mission field.
