WELS WALKING TOGETHER

Walking Together is an annual celebration of what we, by the grace of God, accomplish together as the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. The 2008 service is based on Acts 1:8. Just as God, at Pentecost, worked things out for the spread of his gospel across the world, today he brings people from every continent right into our neighborhoods. Together as WELS we are taking advantage of this opportunity to share our faith with the world by witnessing to these people.

WELS Ministry of Christian Giving mailed in January a package of materials to every congregation with the encouragement to hold a special Walking Together worship service sometime between January 1 and June 1. (In June WELS will be changing focus with the launch of the "Year of Jubilee" debt elimination campaign at the district conventions.)

The materials can either be used as the primary focus of a worship service or to complement the designated church year theme. They include:
