  4. Read Judges 14:2-4. What evil was involved in Samson’s choice of a wife? How was the Lord working even in the context of Samson’s sinful choice of a wife?
  5. Read 2 Samuel 16:5-12. What phrases indicate that David saw Shimei’s cursing as part of the way God was chastening him at this time in his life? What words of David indicate that God is not the cause of the evil behind the cursing and that Shimei would have to bear the responsibility of his evil act?
