The new synod logo, introduced at the synod convention in Saginaw, Mich., will be made available to all congregations and synod-affiliated organizations next week.

The new logo is an updated version of the traditional WELS cross. The new red rings are symbolic of the work of the Holy Spirit and WELS' mission to proclaim the gospel to the world. The logo also incorporates the convention theme—and the new phrase chosen to identify the synod: "Christ's Love, Our Calling."

Guidelines for logo usage and downloadable electronic files of approved logo versions will be available through Connect, the synod's new Intranet. An e-mail with links to the guidelines and logo files will be sent to all pastors and congregations. A login and password will be required for access.
