Today's issue of "Together" is the first with a brand new look that more closely mirrors the new WELS Web site. In addition to a redesigned look, changes have been made to the way Together is delivered; last week WELS launched a new e-mail delivery system to make it easier for users to manage their subscriptions.

"Our goal is to unify the look and feel of all our communications so that all of our resources reflect the unity we enjoy as a church body," says Joel Hochmuth, director of communications.

Four other subscriptions—Today's Devotion, Through my Bible in Three Years, An Encouraging Word, and CLS e-news—have also been redesigned and migrated to the new e-mail delivery system, which is based on e-mail addresses. This means users no longer need to create accounts or set up user names and passwords to receive electronic content from WELS. The new system also does a better job of avoiding e-mail spam filters, making delivery more consistent.

Since last Thursday, more than 5,000 subscribers have signed up on the new system. "I just subscribed using the link," says one user. "It was a very nice, quick process with the confirming e-mail arriving instantly. Just great!"

The launch of the new subscription system also included changes to the delivery method of the call reports; they are now delivered the first and third Tuesdays of each month via Together. Subscriptions for the monthly prayer calendar and Prayers for Today have also been combined with Today's Devotion, which is delivered Monday through Friday and includes a prayer, short devotion, and Bible reading.
