Search begins for two synod positions

The synod has two important positions currently vacant and has begun a search for qualified individuals to fill those positions.

Last week all pastors received a notice that the synod is seeking to fill the position of director of human resources. They were invited to encourage qualified members of the synod to consider applying for this position. A complete job description, along with directions for submitting an application, is available on the synod’s Web site at www.wels.net/human-resources.

In the coming weeks, a similar notice will be sent to pastors in connection with the vacant position of director of communications. That job description, once finalized, will also be posted on the synod’s Web site.

If you know of individuals who have the qualifications to serve in either of these two positions, please encourage them to apply.

The blessings of Christmas
As you and your family prepare to express your thanks and praise for the fulfillment of God’s promise to send a Savior, may God bless your time together in worship and in family gatherings. May that same gospel message that rang out from the angels continue to be received in joy and faith and continue to be proclaimed to a world still sitting in the darkness of unbelief. Unto us a Child is born! Hallelujah!

Serving in Christ,
