In response to requests from congregations and through a gift from a generous WELS donor, the synod's Road to Emmaus video is being made available at discount in bulk quantities for Easter outreach efforts.

The professionally produced 30-minute DVD released last year depicts the story of two disciples as they are joined by Jesus on their way to Emmaus shortly after his death and resurrection. The story demonstrates how Jesus is the promised Savior by his fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy.

The DVD is available for $1.50 each, plus shipping, in boxes of 100, but only through Mar. 1. It was the donor's intent that the DVDs be given away by congregations to neighbors and others on their prospect list along with an invitation to worship on Easter.

"We can use this remarkable video to help connect many people to the Easter message of hope in Jesus," says Rev. Mike Hintz, chairman of the Commission on Evangelism. Hintz says the special offer provides what WELS congregations and members have asked for—a way to share their faith with others.
