The WELS International Youth Rally will be kicking off June 27 and running to June 30 at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Nearly 2,000 teens and youth leaders will be attending. This four-day event features large-scale worship services, educational workshops, keynote speakers, and recreational off-site excursions in the Knoxville area.

“This year’s youth rally is much anticipated, as it is our first rally in three years,” said WELS International Youth Rally Coordinator Kris Snyder. “We have teens traveling to Knoxville from 29 different states, as well as from countries like Japan, Zambia, and Malawi.”

The theme for the rally is “Fill Up!” based on the Bible passage John 10:10, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” The rally’s mission is to provide youth and youth leaders with worship, education, and fellowship opportunities that deepen their commitment to Christ and the church.

During the rally, daily updates and photos will be available on www.wels.net/events. Attendees and their families also can follow the event on Twitter, and the rally’s Facebook page. In addition, teens can upload their best photo to the Facebook page, and the photo with the most “likes” by July 15 will be featured in an upcoming issue of Forward in Christ magazine.
