WELS.net gets new look
Have you been to the synod's Web site, WELS.net, lately? You may have noticed the WELS homepage has a whole new look. It has been designed to make the most relevant information and stories easier to find and access.
New features include 10 items in the middle of the page highlighting important news, stories, and resources. Scroll down and you’ll see quick links to popular features on the site. Also new is the tabbed box on the bottom right to feature the latest Together newsletter, question and answer, blog post, and WELS Connection. It will also highlight a story or news from one of the many ministries around WELS. In addition, information about WELS areas of ministry has been move to the “How We Serve” button at the top of the page.
Mr. Lee Hitter, WELS director of Communication Services, says, “In providing these changes to our site, we are presenting up-to-date information, more video streaming, and the ability to showcase our areas of ministry in a clear and concise presentation. And, you’ll have easier access to our most popular stories by clicking on the images in the center of the page.”
The WELS Web site serves three main functions: sharing the saving message of Christ with the world, providing spiritual growth and support for WELS members and others, and informing WELS members and others about the important work the synod is doing.
“All WELS members are invited to make the new WELS.net their Internet homepage. There’s no better way to start your day than with a daily devotion prominently displayed on your homepage and all the latest news and information from your synod,” says Hitter.
