If you die tonight, do you know where you will spend eternity?

If I were to die tonight, I know that I would spend eternity with God in heaven without question. I know that because I understand his Word when it comes to salvation and the promise that Jesus has given to all of us, that faith in him, true faith in him, leads us to salvation, and lead us to that place. I mean, there’s just no question. You know, once upon a time did I have my doubts, yeah. But there’s just absolutely no question that God has pulled me out of my sinfulness and my deceitfulness by the blood of Jesus Christ, and has saved me for all of eternity.

“Through it all, as low as I’ve gotten and the sins I’ve committed for so long, I often times turn to the account in the Bible where Jesus is being crucified and the thief on the cross next to him. And moments before his death he’s assured, he repents and he’s assured by Jesus that today he’ll be with him in paradise. I think about the things I’ve done. That gives me great hope."

“My church home has been phenomenal. I can’t say enough good about the people. They’ve just been so caring and loving through all the continued struggles that I’ve had with my health. I would never be at a loss for anything. The pastors, the staff, the first to last person in that congregation have been just terrific.”

“Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I turn to that passage on a daily basis. I actually have it beside by bed. And where Paul talks in Corinthians about homosexuality – that’s the way people were, but you were washed of that. That really speaks to me on a particular level.

Why not just join a church that accepts homosexuals as they are?

“There are definitely a lot of churches out there that are like that. When I was embracing the gay lifestyle I attended several of them. They’re sort of the “feel-good” churches where people go to hear what they want to hear. But these churches are doing an immense disservice and they’re damaging a lot of people. We’re talking about people’s eternal well being.

“We know from God’s word they’re sinful. So many people, myself included, for a while I wanted to do what felt right. But that’s not God’s will. As a Christian, we are to follow God’s way, not our way."
