The choir from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minn., made this year’s tour to Mexico. The trip south of the border was designed to benefit both the choir members and our mission fields. They visited the church in Torreon, a member of our sister synod in Mexico.

Our contact in Nepal is a dedicated Christian who teaches literacy with Bible stories written in the Nepalese language, prepared by WELS Multi-Language Publications. Harold Essmann coordinates the outreach and training in both Nepal and Pakistan.

Presentations by some of the most talented people in our church body are included in the National Worship Conference. No matter what style of music you prefer - from a small group - to a big organ - there will be something for everyone.

Sabrina Ebel and her husband Jeff are members of this church near Phoenix. Their story is just one example of a WELS home mission bearing fruit. It highlights one key strategy of home mission work - reaching out to families in times of transition. Rev. Michael Nitz spends much of his time educating people about basic Bible truths, but not in a traditional classroom.
